Associate Professor
Dr. Jennifer Pasion Loverio is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Hotel, Restaurant and Institution Management at the College of Home Economics at the University of the Philippines. She is a B.S. Food Technology graduate of the College of Home Economics at the University of the Philippines-Diliman. She also took her Master's Degree in Food Service Administration from the same university. Her Ph.D. in Tourism Management was taken at the National Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism (NKUHT) in Taiwan.
She has over ten years of industry experience in sales and marketing and three years in food service operations. She handles subjects on Properties Management, Quantity Food Production, Service Quality Management, and Marketing Management, among others.
Aside from teaching, she also served in various administrative positions, such as Faculty-in-Charge of the Tearoom and member of the Food Service Regulatory Committee and other committees in the department.
Her research interest includes consumer behavior, service quality, environmental sustainability and resilience, indicators of resilience, and rural and agritourism. Her paper titled "How Face Affects Travel Behavior and Destination Choice of Mainland Chinese Tourists" was awarded for Outstanding Oral Presentation paper at the 2020th International Conference of Sports, Leisure and Hospitality Management in Taiwan. Her article on the "Environmental Awareness of Tourism and Hospitality (Gen. Z) students" also won the best paper award at the 1st Annual Conference of Sustainable Tourism and Hospitality Business in 2022.
She also reviews for the top International SSCI and Scopus journals in the tourism and hospitality field.
