Raymund Gerard I. Guerrero is an Assistant Professor in the University of the Philippines, College of Home Economics, Department of Hotel, Restaurant and Institution Management.
He is a graduate of Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Administration, Master of Business Administration and completed the academic course work of the Doctor of Philosophy Education (Curriculum Studies) all from the University of the Philippines, Diliman. His research interest is in Curriculum Studies.
In 2009, he was sent by the University of Philippines to Woosong University, Daejeon, South Korea as an Exchange Professor.
He is an active member of the International Council of Hotel Restaurant and Institutional Education (ICHRIE), Asia Pacific Tourism Association (APTA), Tourism Industry Board Foundation, Inc (TIBFI) and a Board Member of the Council of Hotel and Restaurant Educators of the Philippines (COHREP).
Before joining the academe in 2003 he was with the hospitality industry occupying different positions at the Rooms Division of the Westin Philippine Plaza (Now Sofitel Philippine Plaza) until his retirement as Reservations Manager. During his stint at the Westin, he was the resident trainor of its Front Office Department and he was also tasked to open the Westin Resorts Hotel in Tumon Bay, Guam.
