Ms. Maria Criselda Abantao Rayos is a self-taught inflight catering management professional that continuously aims to make a difference in the industry. She graduated Cum Laude from the University of the Philippines with a degree in BS HRA and took up a Master’s degree in Business Administration in the same university.
Ms. Rayos entered Philippine Airlines as Inflight Food Standards Manager handling menu development, implementation, performance monitoring and cost control of airline’s international and domestic inflight as well as lounge menus. She has also introduced systems and procedures for menu planning and menu information management, developed Meal-Over-provisioning control Program, handled evaluation of meal presentations conducted by airline’s international and domestic caterers, prepared a manual for catering handling of commercial and presidential flights, and conducted Inflight Catering Management talks during Nutrition Congress and Meeting the Masters at UPCHE. In 2011, she became the Food Planning and Standards Manager in charge of menu development, implementation, performance monitoring and cost control of inflight menus for airline’s international and domestic flight and developed bidding and performance evaluation programs for airline’s international and domestic caterers. Ms. Rayos contributed to the 4-star rating of Philippine Airlines in terms of inflight meal service and cost-efficiency strategies that delivered substantial savings to the company.
Currently, Ms. Rayos is the Assistant Vice President - Catering Operations responsible for overall management of inflight meals, equipment, supplies and amenities for PAL domestic and international flights.
