Chaela is currently, holding the position of Senior Vice President for Support Services Group of Makati Life Medical Center a 360-bed hospital that is under construction in Malugay St. Makati. The first 100 beds will open in the first Quarter 2024.
Prior to this, she was the Vice President of the Support and Services Group of St. Luke’s Medical Center for both the Quezon City and Global City. The SSG handles the Housekeeping, Linen and Laundry, Transportation and Food and Nutrition Departments.
Chaela has over 20 years of experience in Sales and Operation fields, including 18 years of reputable track record particularly in the Philippines’ Hospitality Industry. She was recognized by human resource practitioners as a mover in the industry when she won the Catering Manager of the Year given by the prestigious MABUHAY Awards in 2002.
Chaela was a recognized speaker on customer service and food safety. She was invited by the Sphere Conferences in Singapore and in 2007 by the InterContinental Group of Department Stores Conference in Greece. She has a proven track record of performance (including 3 promotions in 5 years, from staff to middle management which fast-tracked her career growth). She is an industry mover and trailblazer: brought in innovative and fresh ideas which improved the organizations’ respective corporate competitiveness. She introduced the ServeSafe and HACCP Certification in St.Luke’s Medical Center.
Chaela is ServeSafe Certified since 2009 and completed the Advance Executive Program in Kellogg School of Management at North Western University, Illinois in July 2011 and the Management Development Program at the Asian Institute of Management in 2009. She graduated at the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City, with the degree Bachelor of Science in Hotel & Restaurant Administration.
