Ma Josephine “Marijo” Pacheco is presently a full-time housewife, mom and lola. She is also still a board member of the Kuya Street Kids Center and has been involved with the Center since 1995. She was once a Board Member of the RCW foundation, Inc. and although no longer a board member, she is a member of their Care Group.
Ma Josephine “Marijo” Pacheco graduated from BSHRA in 1975, after which she joined The Mandarin Hotel in 1976 as part of its opening team and left after 13 years. She started as a Banquet Account Manager, then moved to be Assistant Sales Manager, and was the Front of the House Manager when she retired from the hotel industry to take care of her children. While being a full-time wife, and mom, Mrs. Pacheco took over as administrator for SMC Condominium Corporation which was composed of 55 townhouse units, handling everything that had to do with running a homeowners association, from collection of dues, daily operational problems, enforcing rules and regulations among the homeowners and household members, drivers and dealing with City Hall. She was the administrator for 25 years.
In 1995, Mrs. Pacheco found herself involved with the Kuya Center, a Streetkids Foundation. She is still presently a Board Member. Mrs. Pacheco is also involved with the RCW Foundation, Inc, and although no longer with the Board, she is a member of the CARERS group. The RCW Foundation, Inc is actively involved in providing counseling and wellness programs, founded by Harriet Hormillosa.
