DHRIM ADVISORY BOARD

Mr. Benito C. Bengzon, Jr. has vast experience in development planning, strategy formulation, investment promotions, marketing, and product development. Currently, he is the Executive Director of the Philippine Hotel Owners Association, a non-stock, non-profit association with over 250 member hotels operating and  under construction all over the country. As Executive Director, he implements the plans and programs of the Association to protect and promote the common interests of the member hotels. Prior to joining PHOA, Mr. Bengzon was Undersecretary at the Department of Tourism where he handled policy formulation, planning, bilateral tourism cooperation agreement, product development, and market development.

He was also a part-time lecturer at the UP Diliman Asian Institute of Tourism and College of Home Economics, and the Development Academy of the Philippines Graduate School of Public and Development Management.

Mr. Bengzon is a graduate of UP Diliman with a degree in BS Hotel and Restaurant Administration. He also took up his Masters in Business Administration at the Ateneo Graduate School of Business and Masters in National Security Administration at the National Defense College of the Philippines. He is currently enrolled in the Doctorate for Public Administration Program at the University of the Philippines.
